Design comes in all forms. To be a designer, to be artistic, creative, innovative, is to be something truly special. Design inspires us, captivates us and fosters our imagination every single day. Design itself is a creative mirror of the beauty in life.

Every once in a while we stumble upon inspired partnerships, that fuse one or more forms of design to create something organic, inventive and different. Australian fashion forward labels Romance was Born and Gorman have teamed up with Dulux in conjunction with the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival, to do just that. Their latest collections take fashion and transform it into interior design.

Romance was Born’s imaginative and fantasy like collection ‘Dream On’, inspired the designers striking interiors entitled ‘Portal’ and ‘Flower Dreaming’. ‘Portal’ fuses retro style and ideals of the majestic to create a sense of whimsy expected from the fashion forward design team; Luke Sales and Anna Plunkett. The duo somehow then transcend this, taking the strong floral elements of their ‘Dream On’ collection, creating the retro chic kitchen space ‘Flower Dreaming’. Feminine like pastels contrast the use of bold yet quirky ornaments and fixtures, emulating fun and ground breaking era of the 60s. Each design however, is combined seamlessly with innovative modern elements.

Gorman, with its earth, tribal and organic roots continues to captivate. The labels AW14 collection ‘Winter Harvest’ is mirrored through the interior ‘Harvest’. Using strong structural and earthy elements, the design is reminiscent of a French Country Chateau. Decadent yet homely, simple yet bold. Natural yet modern. The room transports you into a dream like opulance. The label then contrasts this with a desert like setting. Cactus, organic wood matched and earth like properties are all used to create a magical yet raw warmth.

What has been created here, is certainly something special. It can be too easy to simply devalue any platform of design but we must remember that without designers, creatives and innovative minds, our world would simply become a vacant space.

How To: Get your pool party style on!

Here at WAH HQ we love a good pool party. Combine good company, great food, cocktails and awesome tunes and pool action and we will be there in a heartbeat. It can be difficult to find the right outfit for an occasion like this. Questions are raised? Do I go completely casual? If so how casual? Do I wear a bikini or one piece? Hats? Shoes? Throwover? What a debacle! So let us make a few suggestions. Here are 3 key looks perfect for pool party vibes.

The Handsome Wanderer

There is just something about a summer romance that makes us smile. The fun, flirty nature of a warm summer evening can provide the perfect setting for a romantic date. From a stunning sunset, to a lazy picnic by the beach summer just makes everything better. So indulge us. Here are our top 5 perfect summer dates.

1. Laneway Hopping

Starting early on in the evening, a cute laneway hopping date will feed all the senses. Taste testing the best your city’s laneways, underground restaurants and bars have to offer, is a super cute way to get to know your date. Walking around the laneways and city means you have plenty of time to really talk to each other (whilst admiring the fine architecture of course), having a number of eating options allows you to get to know your dates preferences when it comes to being a foodie (bonus info for future dates) and you get to taste the best your city has to offer providing you with an epic food envy story post date debrief (aka gossip) with friends.

2. Lazy Afternoon Picnic

This laid back yet tres chic picnic is the perfect setting for any date, whether it is your first or your 100th. It really is the traditional simple efforts that get us. It is timeless really. A Picnic rug. A Food spread. Champagne and strawberries. Lazing about looking up at the clouds. Perfect date bliss.

3. Get your SUP on

Stand up Paddle boarding on a summer day is an amazing and fun date acitvity. And why wouldnt it be! Sunshine? Check. Beach? Check. Fitness? Check. Good Company? Check.

Obviously we wouldn’t reccommend this on a first date (only if you’re keen), but if you do your planning right and find a gorgeous little inlet to paddle in to, this date will be truly memorable for everyone. Imagine paddling out, sitting on the board and watching the sunset fade away, melting from peach, to orange to red to yellow where the sky meets the depths of the ocean. A simple, stunning memorable end to a summer date.

4. Pool Hangs

Unless you have a pool, heading down to your local public pool can be an awesome, easy and fun hot summer date. Being at a public pool takes me back to when I was a kid. The cool tunes, sunshine, waterslides, sunnyboys and cornettos. Ah the memories! Now your date may be a little more PG than G rated but an afternoon of sunshine, good conversation, summer treats and dips in the pool is too good an offer to pass up.

5. Go for Gelato

What a cute date to cool off on a summer day. A wise man once said ‘Without Gelato there would be Darkness and Chaos’, well something similar to that effect anyway, but we sure do agree. Whether it is a post dinner dessert or a meal in itself, there is always room for gelato.

Remember summer only lasts for 3 months of the year, so make the most of every summer date because summer memories are the very best memories.

How To: Add a little Pop to your Summer

It seems as though this Frozen Yogurt aka FROYO craze just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Look I am not complaining, it has certainly made a feature in my summer diet over the last two summers. Who am I kidding? I FROYO all year round. So much so, that the term FROYO itself has made the rather odd but occasional transition from a noun into a verb. “Oh hey I am just going to go FROYO, want to come?” “Do you FROYO?” “Of course I FROYO!” Well now you can FROYO yourself at home with my delicious popsicle recipe. So prepare yourselves for a damn delicious summer treat with my HANDSOME POPS OF FROYO.

What you will need:

1-2 cups of organic plain or vanilla yogurt
Half cup of mixed summer fruit eg Berries, Peach, banana, watermelon, Mango
1 tablespoon of Honey
½ tablespoon of lemon juice (optional)
6-8 small paper cups
Foil
Wooden popsicle sticks
Blender

What you will need to do:

1. Add selected fruits, honey and lemon juice, to the yogurt in a blender. Blend until desired consistency.
2. Put the paper cups onto a plate or a flat tray. Cut strips of foil big enough to cover each cup individually.
3. Pour mixture into the cups at about ¾ full. Add left over pieces of fruit if desired.
4. Once the cups are filled cover each cup with foil and make a small slit in the centre of the foil where the wooden popsicle stick will go. This will help to hold the popsicle stick in place while the yogurt freezes.
5. Add the popsicle sticks and place the FROYO pops into the freezer. Once your FROYO Pops are done, just peel back the foil and paper and enjoy! Simple, easy, fun and delicious.

So there you have it. FROYO has made its way into the hearts of people all around the world and now you can have it whenever and however you want.

How To: Get your Green Smoothie on

Here at WAH HQ we love a good summer juice! After trying so many green juices from completely vegetable to all fruits, we have found that a mixture of fruit and veg makes the perfect green smoothie. Not too bitter, not too sweet, 100% pure goodness for your body.

Obviously we had to share this with you! So here it is…

What you will need:

1 cup Coconut water (fresh or organic bottled)

½ cup Coconut flesh

1-2 handfuls Spinach

1 handful of Kale

½ chopped Cucumber (without skin)

2-3 Passionfruit pulp

1 Kiwi fruit diced (no skin)

1 Banana chopped (optional)

Chia seeds (your choice how much)

Organic Protein Powder (see product instructions)

Frozen Berries to serve

What you will need to do:

1. Using a high speed blender, puree the spinach, cucumber and coconut flesh. Add water initially to allow ingredients to mix properly.

2. Add coconut water and Kale and blend on high speed.

3. Add passionfruit, kiwi and banana to the mix. Coconut water or normal water can be added when needed to create a drinkable consistency.

4. Finally add protein and Chia and mix on a high speed until smoothie perfect. Taste to test. Add extra fruit or veg depending on how sweet you like your green juices. If you have a sweet tooth add a touch of organic honey.

5. Pour into a jar glass and add Frozen berries on top to serve.

Experiment with different fruits and add ons for variety. Green Juices are a healthy and quick way to get your serving of fruit and veg daily but they should not replace all of your meals. Remember by being good to your body, your body will be good to you.

How to: Get that healthy summer glow

We all want to look radiant and glowing in the summer. Sunkissed and healthy skin just makes you feel better. By being kind to yourself and putting into your body all the goodness it needs, you will surely get that summer glow in no time.

Here are our top 5 ways to get that perfect ntaural summer glow you all want!

1. H20– Water is key here guys. On average an adult should be drinking between 2-2.5 litres of water a day. Remember your skin is the biggest organ you have so keep it hydrated.

2. EAT HEALTHY– We all know that foods with high fat, sugar and salt content are bad for you. Overeating foods with such content can cause many health problems. Our advice? Aim to avoid crazy diets and eat a healthy well balanced diet of vegetables, fruits, protein and good carbs. If you do this, having that piece of cake every now and again is not going to harm you.

3. TREAT YOUR SKIN DAILY– It is very important to have a daily skin revitalising routine. The summer sun can be harsh which means your skin needs just as much care as your body. Cleanse, tone, moisturise, sunscreen and exfoliate. It is simple really. Choose products with natural ingredients that won’t be harsh on your skin. We love, the his & hers range from Milk & co. How to: Get Perfect Beach Curls

I’ve always loved the look of my hair after a long day at the beach. The invigorating salt, creates such a natural wave and curl that I have always wished to create on my own. Recently a friend gave me the perfect recipe for creating the very best beach curls. The best part? It is full of organic goodness for my hair and NO horrible heat tools are needed.

SO here it is. Tried and tested by me: THE PERFECT BEACH CURL CONCOCTION

What you will need:

1 Spray Bottle

3-4 tablespoons of Sea salt (this will achieve the crisp beachy look)

2-3 pumps of organic water based hair gel

1/2 teaspoon of organic Coconut based conditioning and styling creme (avoid too much as it will weigh down your hair)

2 drops of an essential oil of your choosing

What you need to do:

1. After washing your hair, towel dry and lightly blow wave until your hair is semi dry.

2. Add salt, conditioning creme, organic hair gel and droplets of oil into the spray bottle and fill with water. Shake the bottle well to mix.

3. Spray your hair until it is very damp. Using your fingers, scrunch your hair well or twist into curls and let your hair dry. For a more full on effect, braid or fish plait your hair until it dries.

4. When your hair is dry, use your fingers to maintain the curls. Add hairspray to hold if needed.

5. Rock your perfect beach curls!

All sale purchases are final and cannot be returned (including exchanges, credit notes and refunds). We kindly ask that you carefully consider your items before purchasing. Sale returns will only be accepted if the merchandise is faulty or wrongly described.

During sale periods where a discount code is used, any orders placed prior to the start time of the sale will not be eligible for the discount. THIS INCLUDES CURRENT SALE: 10TH Birthday Sale

Item/s must be unworn, unwashed and in the original sellable condition. All labels, packaging and hygiene stickers must be attached and in their original condition.

Customers are responsible for organising the shipment of returns including the cost to send the return back to us. WE ARE HANDSOME is not responsible for the shipment of returns and will not replace or process a return that is lost during shipment. We recommend shipping returns through a tracked service.

It is not the responsibility of WE ARE HANDSOME to pay or reimburse customers for any government import fees, taxes and/or charges that may be applied to orders. It is the responsibility of customers to be aware of and pay any such costs that their country may apply to imported goods.

Refunds are made to the credit card that was used to make the original purchase and are for the cost of items only. Shipping costs will not be refunded. Please allow 7 business days for the refund transaction to be completed back onto your card. We will contact you via the email address listed on your order when the refund has taken place.

For exchanges, we will require a shipping payment to be made prior to re-shipment. We will request this payment from you via PayPal. The charges are as follows:
- USA Domestic $10
- International Express $15 (International costs will be in the relevant currency)

Due to the select nature of our product, we cannot guarantee the availability of merchandise for exchanges

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY GARMENT?

Although our garments may make you feel invincible, the swimsuit itself is rather delicate.

Make sure you follow these easy steps to make sure your piece of We Are Handsome stays with you forever!

Use a mild detergent while hand washing it separately in cold water.
Pretty please don’t tumble dry, wring, soak or bleach your garment (that’s just cruel), it’s best to let it dry in the shade.
Try not to leave it rolled up and wet, make sure you rinse it really well after each use, especially if you’re spending a lot of time frolicking in an infinity pool – or a non-infinity pool for that matter!
Please don’t iron or dry-clean it.
Also, try to stay away from rough surfaces as it could cause pilling, and we all know that is not a good look.
