This morning I woke up with visual cravings, strangely satisfied only by a large feast of old Hollywood glamour. Maybe it was my weekend full of bill-paying bar work serving cheap champagne and Happy Hour cocktails or perhaps even the ‘My Week with Marilyn’ posters I keep seeing around that subliminally have my mind ticking over better times where there was no such thing as side boobs, heroin chic or distressed anything – except for damsels.

Whilst browsing some of my favourite leading ladies I happened upon Steven Meisels ‘Stardust’, a 50’s Hollywood inspired editorial which he absolutely nailed for Vogue Italia back in 2008
Whilst I will probably never achieve any similar state of prim, proper, groomed perfection in this lifetime I sure can salute the ones that did & do.
