Erin Case creates collages that mix the old, new and unknown into a beautiful, surreal and perfectly balanced mess. My favourites are the silhouttes/landscape combos where classic photos are cut out and layered upon choppy images of marble and dreamy mountain scapes . Her whole collection can be viewed here where I’m sure you will find a favourite.

Saffire escape
I will be honest and tell you that Tasmania has never been a destination that makes my ears prick up (a NB for our non Australian, non geographically inclined readers: it’s that small triangular unattached island right down the bottom of our country) but ever so slowly and surely my humble opinions are being transformed. The newest gem I have heard about, Saffire Freycinet luxury eco lodge, had me at 1000 thread count, a call for your reading preferences, fresh squid and a mini bar stocked with local produce, wine & beer…FOR FREE! coughcoughincludedinyourminimum$1500pernightpricetag Continue reading
Moonrise Kingdom (trailer)
[chromeless id=eP0QJ_Ba1Bs width=540 height=360 autoplay=no ytcontrols=no]
If this isn’t the most exciting film this year i’ll eat my hat. We’re no strangers to Wes Anderson (in fact, If i were able to I’d have his melodramatic wide angle babies) and his latest film Moonrise Kingdom looks to deliver everything we’ve come to expect from the master. So. Excited.
Woos Zoo
Jar Jar Binks wears Margiela, Darth Vader wears Band of Outsiders, Superman wears D&G. The words alone spark intrigue and imagination on so many levels and when John Woo executes these visions through watercolour with such skill & class, any potential gimmicky hipster factor that may or may not have gone through your head should be layed to the wayside, or at least taken on with pleasure rather than eye rolls. We’ve made some E-Cards inspired by The Romantic collection which you can send by email and download as an iPhone wallpaper to share with the one you admire.

iHeart this: Heart Part Utensil Set
These super cute heart-shaped utensils might be the sweetest things I’ve ever seen. Cleverly designed by Fatima Fazal, Heart Part cutlery sets are part fork, part knife and part spoon. They come in five awesome colours (fluoro orange!) and each packet – an absolute steal at only $10 a pop – gives you 10 complete hearts that become 20 when split and given to a loved one. And they’re also environmentally friendly; made from 66% less plastic than regular cutlery and 100% biodegradable. All that’s left to do is simply break a Heart Part and get to sharing food with your special valentine.
I heart ice cream at the beach, puppy dogs and Heart Part utensils. What do you heart?
Damien Blottiere
No photoshop was used in the making of these images…Damien kicks it old school with real life cut & paste producing thoroughly modern imagery that looks pretty dam fresh to my eyes.

Such Talented Friends.
[chromeless id=3B_RpBgSuLM width=540 height=360 autoplay=no ytcontrols=no]
Our talented friend and studio mate Benja Harney  is one of the most creative and talented people we know. He’s a paper engineer. Benja makes mesmerising artworks purely out of paper. He’s been at his craft for a great many number of his years, and has produced art for the likes of some of the worlds biggest brands and personalities. We love sharing a studio with Benja – and you can probably guess why.
 Â
See more of Benja’s work on his portfolio.
Thank you to the fantastic creative video series Slashies for the insight into Benja’s world.
PS. We’ll be showcasing more of our friends a few times a month through this new category.
