About 4 months ago on one of my regular trips to Bali, I walked into one of my favourite concept stores in Bali This is a Love Song and found a little gem hiding behind it. Walking into Seminyak cafe Revolver, felt more like I was in Melbourne than in Bali. With its edgy vintage like interior the cafe instantly had my attention. Taking one sip of the coffee there and I definitely fell in love.
Australian owner Katie Allan has definitely started a coffee culture in Bali and has set the bar very high. In my opinion Revolver has the best coffee in Seminyak if not the whole of Bali. I am yet to find a coffee as good anywhere else on the island and when you come from Melbourne like me, coffee is essential to getting through the day. (not that a day in Bali is hard to get through) My pick? The soy latte. Absolute perfection.
Revolver doesn’t just pigeonhole itself to coffee, the food is to die for. My favourite meal at Revolver is breakfast. After a morning class of Pilates at Art of Pilates Seminyak, The Revolver; poached eggs with avocado, basil and home made tomato relish on sourdough, goes down a treat. A midday watermelon and mint juice definitely picks up the energy lost to the outside heat.
Being one of the raddest places to hang out in Seminyak, Katie Allan has definitely created a gem that I hope will be around for years to come. If you need a coffee fix, head to Revolver on Gang51 just off of the main road Jalan Kaya Ayu. Look hard because if you blink you will miss it. Make sure you check out their Facebook page for new updates.
Happy coffeeing sweet wanderers.
