There is just something about this girl. Olivia Palermo. When she was first introduced to us on The City she received a lot of criticism for being a naive socialite snob. But I guess that’s the thing about reality television, you don’t always know what’s true and what’s not. More recently her involvement with charitable organizations and collaborations with well known luxury brands such as Salvatore Ferragamo, suggests that this girl is definitely switched on and knows how to market herself. One thing I do know for sure, is that Olivia Palermo has style and is one I watch for fashion inspiration.
I seems as though the NYC style is innate for Olivia. Not once have I seen her step a foot out of place. Classy, elegant, edgy, unique and playful; her mix match of designer pieces, thrifted items and basic everyday wear makes her looks achievable for any girl. Being titled ‘best dressed’ at New York Fashion week this year, one of my favourite looks of her was from the Norisol Ferarri show. She pairs simplicity with boho in a crisp white Carrie Parry button down shirt, vinatge leather skirt and Tibi Snakeskin heels.
What I like about Olivia, is that she is not wasteful. Whilst she has access to the latest looks straight off the run way, she has no problem in getting full use out of a pair of leathers, boots or a winter jacket season after season. My kind of girl! The key to this is her versatility. She mixes key staple pieces with newer items to provide a fresh look that is in line with this seasons style, yet she still maintains her individuality. Utter perfection.
So now you know one of my style inspirations, tell me sweet wanderers, who do you look to?
