Weimaraners have long been used in the photography and art of William Wegman. He uses the breed’s comical expressiveness to create absurd works, often depicting them in human roles. His dogs first appeared in Sesame Street in 1989. Sketches often showed the dogs with human bodies, carrying out tasks such as cooking, getting their hair cut and learning about the alphabet. These shots of them looking so regal and interesting captivate me.
